Ghostly Hotel - Prototype

In midst of chaos of being chased by a ghost, try to get the hotel fixed with your friends before the shift ends

Prototype’s features

This prototype is a mix of horror and comedy built as a proof of concept. The rise of friend slop genre in the game market around 2025 inspired my friend and me to design a game within that market space. We both intended to originally make this a chaotic horror game to play with friends. As we both are scaredy cats and big fans of scooby doo, we decided to add some slapstick comedy in the design. The result is this prototype made in 72 hours. The core gameplay surrounds sneaking around a hotel and fixing various faults before the ghost catches up

Learning from the project

    1. Matching steam compliance for proximity chat and multiplayer.
    2. Designed and built a system for playing local cinematic sequences dynamically in multiplayer.
    3. Design interactions and quick prototyping. This prototype was build within 72 hours.
